1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar
½ teaspoon salt
½ cup milk
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 egg, beaten light
Directions
Sift flour with baking powder, sugar, and salt. Add milk and butter to egg. Add flour mixture all at once and stir just enough to dampen the flour. Add more milk if needed to make the batter pourable.
