Ingredients

1 cup milk

2 ½ teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder

½ tablespoon pure maple syrup

½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract

2 tablespoons dark chocolate

Garnishes

A pinch of shaved dark chocolate

2 tablespoons no sugar added whipped cream

Classic Hot Chocolate with a Maple Twist (Toddler-Friendly)

Instructions

Add the milk and cocoa powder to a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk until the cocoa powder is fully dissolved.

Stir in the maple syrup and vanilla extract.

Add the chopped dark chocolate and continue whisking gently until the chocolate is completely melted, and the hot chocolate is smooth and steamy. Do not let it boil.
