Walthall Dairy Festival Brings National Dairy Month to Southern Mississippi

Hundreds of visitors in Southern Mississippi attended the Walthall Dairy Festival to celebrate National Dairy Month with free ice cream and milk donated by Prairie Farms and educational handouts from The Dairy Alliance. The Dairy Alliance’s Ag Affairs Manager Audri Crews attended the festival to set up educational pop-ups about dairy farming, answer questions, and promote Mississippi dairy farmers in interviews on two local radio stations. Attendees participated in several dairy-themed competitions such as a butter making contest, a mooing contest, and a "guess the weight" contest of a dairy cow from B & B Dairy.
