Dairy Advocate Stresses Importance of Dairy in First 1,000 Days

On March 19, 2025, dairy advocate and women's health dietitian Lauren Manaker presented a webinar to Alabama WIC nutritionists on "Dairy and the Role of Iodine in Early Brain Development" during a virtual meeting. Lauren highlighted how milk and other dairy foods provide iodine and other critical nutrients during the crucial first 1000 days, the days from conception to a child's second birthday.
