Choose a Yogurt and Milk Smoothie for Energy

Choose a Yogurt and Milk Smoothie for Energy

Milk provides the protein you need to stay energized and focused throughout the day. A natural source of four B vitamins–riboflavin, B-12, niacin, and pantothenic acid—milk has the fuel your body needs to stay energized. A yogurt and milk smoothie, especially one using Greek yogurt is great for energy.

Additionally, yogurt is a good source of high-quality protein, which keeps you feeling full longer, provides energy to fuel your day, and helps muscles recover. With those benefits and its versatility in the foods you love, it is an easy choice to bring more yogurt to your meals.

Bring the power of these two dairy foods together in tasty smoothies that will keep you energized for your busy day ahead. Below are three smoothies you can choose from this winter for balanced nutrition and energy throughout the holiday season.

Yogurt and Milk Smoothies

Chocolate Comfort Sipper Smoothie

Both the yogurt and the chocolate milk in this warm chocolate beverage contribute high-quality protein to the drink. You can combine the ingredients and store them in the refrigerator and then heat in the microwave just before serving.

In a blender, combine chamomile tea, chocolate yogurt, chocolate milk, cocoa powder and sugar. Cover and puree until frothy. Pour into three large microwave-safe mugs. Heat each mug in a microwave on high for 40 seconds or until a frothy foam begins to rise. The chocolate milk helps replenish muscle protein, meaning you can recover and recharge with this sweet choice.
